Pinewood Derby

Our 2023 Pinewood Derby will take place on Saturday, February 4th at Athens-Chilesburg Elementary School.

Advance registration is required.

Build, Tune, Test Day

In conjunction with MooseWerkz, we will be having an event (time and location to be announced) where you will be able to build your car, tune it up, and test it. Please join us during this window. Show up with your block of wood and leave with a car that is pretty much ready to race. You will need to bring your car kit that was provided, along with weights. Weights can be purchased at the BSA Shop, Hobby Lobby, Lowes, etc. It's not required to have the weights that day, but it is advisable. This is a free event, but donations to MooseWerkz are appreciated.

9:00 - Set up begins.

10:00 - Registration begins.

10:45 - Registration ends. No additional cars can be accepted after this time.

11:00 - Racing Begins!

Awards

Trophies will be given to the top 3 overall winners in the Scout class. Additionally, the winner of each den will receive a trophy. There will also be trophies for Best Design.

The top 3 overall in the Outlaw class will also be awarded trophies.

All Scouts will receive a Pinewood Derby ribbon.
